Courses

IAAO offers several 5 day courses that consist of thirty (30) instructional hours, exclusive of the final examination.

Course material is completely accessible online and upon successful completion, you will have immediate access to a course certificate. .

Workshops

The IAAO workshop series consists of one to three day programs. Exams are offered for the majority of the workshops.

One-day forum series currently consists of programs that provide professional growth at a lower cost in terms of finances and time spent.

Professional Member Program (PMP) The purpose of the PMP is to recognize your education, experience, dedication, and acknowledges the efforts of members to keep on top of developments in the industry through continued education and ongoing service.

Professional Designations

Earning a designation is a rewarding experience that demonstrates that you have attained the highest level of professionalism. Having a designation instantly establishes your qualifications and credibility and is a universal, measure of your capabilities and is recognized around the world.

Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE)

The purpose of the CAE designation is to recognize professionalism and competency in a wide range of matters covering property valuation for tax purposes, property tax administration, and property tax policy.

Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES)

The purpose is to recognize professionalism and competency in the valuation of residential property for tax purposes..

Mass Appraisal Specialist (MAS)

MAS designation recognizes professionalism and competency in a wide range of matters covering mass appraisal theories, techniques, and applications.

Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS)

AAS designation recognizes professionalism and competency in administration of a variety of functions for property tax purposes.

Personal Property Specialist (PPS)

The purpose of the PPS designation is to recognize professionalism and competency in the valuation of personal property for tax purposes.

Cadastral Mapping Specialist (CMS)

The purpose of the CMS designation is to recognize professionalism and competency in cadastral mapping techniques that support proper valuation for tax purposes, property tax administration, and property tax policy.

Designation Recertification

IAAO Designees are required to fulfill continuing education requirements to maintain their designation.
Credit hours earned must be submitted to IAAO during a designee's five-year cycle.
